Burel Daniel, 67, of Waco died Sunday, Oct. 19, at a local hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church with the Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. Daniel was born on Feb. 6, 1930 in Waco. He worked at Owens-Illinois Glass Plant for 34 years, retiring in 1985 He served as union president for the Glass Bottle Blowers Association in the 1960s, '70s and early '80s. He served as a Little League coach at Northern Little League in the '60s. He was a leader of the Awana Club and was current chairman of the deacons at Park Lake Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (JoAnn) Daniel; three sons, Mike Daniel and his wife, Charlotte, Ron Daniel and his wife, Lisa, and Don Daniel and his wife Vikki; two brothers, Danny Daniel and A. L. Daniel; and nine grandchildren.
