OGLE, Charles Ross 87, passed away Feb. 5, 2016, at his home in Lutz. Charles was born May 22, 1928, in Cincinnati, OH to Charlie Nicholson Ogle and Eva Ross Ogle. He served in the Merchant Marine in WWII and enlisted in the U.S. Army after the war retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1971. He then pursued a career with the State of Ohio, serving as the Asst. Commissioner of Mental Health. He then taught at Embry Riddle University and retired to Florida in the early 90s. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Richers Ogle; his son, Charles Ross Ogle Jr. and his wife, Joan Ogle of Clearwater, his son, David Ogle and his wife, Malia Ogle of Powell, OH; six grandsons; his sister, Wanda Moore and her husband, Bill Moore of Cincinnati, OH; his brother-in-law, Will Stauffer from Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large number of friends. The visitation will be held Feb. 19, from 5-7 pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, at 11 am at the same location. Graveside services will occur at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
