Apparently the daughter of Susan (nee NICHOLS) who is on the 1880 census with her first husband John Thomas GEISLER ...

On 22 December 1887 in Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, at 14 years old, she first married to (Nathan) Soper HINES.

The following day an article about them was published in `The News' titled "A Happy Couple: Mr. Soper HINES and Miss Sarah F. GRAY, of Dickerson Station, visited Frederick yesterday, purchased their wedding outfits and were married by Rev. Geo. V. LEECH. Afterwards the groom created a great deal of amusement on the streets by his actions. He had been imbibing."
