Her family's land was at the end of the road, her parents owned 75 acres. Census takers recorded it as Macon County as it was just over the line and midwives often put Macon County. Tax Records show Swain County. Her death record says she was born in Macon, GA; the informant must have been confused as to where "Macon" was.
