Graveside services for William Dalton Maynor, age 85 will be held at 10:00a.m. Monday, August 21,2006 at the Cotton Valley Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Cotton Valley, LA. Mr. Maynor, a lifelong resident of this area, died Saturday August 19, 2006 in Shreveport. He was member of the Baptist church, was a veteran of the US Coast Guard and was a retired shift foreman for Marathon/CVOC with 33 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mrs. Gloria L. Maynor; sons, Bill Maynor and wife, Shirley; John Maynor and wife, Donna, all of Cotton Valley, LA; Alvin Maynor and wife, Sharon, of Minden, LA; daughter, Gloria Ann Ellender and husband D.J., of Gonzales, LA; sister, Elizabeth Bates of Shreveport, LA; brother Robert F. Maynor and wife Jimmie, of Sarepta, LA; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 to 8:00p.m. Sunday at Bailey Mortuary in Cotton Valley, LA.
