Services for Annie Mae Wimberly, 79, of 1103 Lindsey, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview with Dr. Carlos McLeod, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Plainview officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Alexander Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Wimberly died Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. in Magic Plains Nursing Home.

A teacher in Clarendon and Lakeview schools, Mrs. Wimberly was born in Brownwood. She had been a resident of Borger for six years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainview.

Mrs. Wimberly was a resident of Plainview for 53 years before moving to Borger in 1974. She attended Wayland Baptist College in Plainview and West Texas State College in Canyon.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. George R. Flood of Borger; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Cozby of Alamogordo, N.M. and Mrs. Gex Coons of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, Samuel M. Wilson of Long Beach, Calif.; and three grandsons.

Mrs. Wimberly was preceeded in death by her husband, Lewis, who died in 1976.
