She grew up in Beach City and was a 1957 graduate of Beach City High School; received her R.N. Diploma at Massillon City Hospital School of Nursing in 1960; completed one of the first Nurse Practitioner Programs available from UCLA in Long Beach, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She was creative and talented in a wide variety of interest; a huge animal lover; a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beulah Derrick; brothers, William, Richard, and Robert Raff.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband; two children; six grandchildren; a sister; a brother; several nieces and nephews.
