Harry O'Neal died at his home on the east side of Poteau last Friday night after a lingering illness of several months. He had an attack of the flu during the winter and recovered sufficient to come to town a few times but taken a backset and never was able to leave his bed.
Mr. O'Neal was well known in Poteau and liked by everyone.
He had been running a service car and had a good business.
He leaves a wife and one son to mourn his death, besides several other relatives. His wife was not able to be with him at the time of his death, being in a hospital were an operation was performed about two weeks before.
The remains were laid to rest at the Poteau cemetery Saturday afternoon. We extend our sympathy to his bereaved relatives.
