Anna W. (Butcher) Was born at Elkins, Randolph Co., (W.) Virginia, on August 15, 1800, a DAUGHTER of Samuel Butcher Jr. & Hannah Mariah (Drake). She was raised in Randolph Co., (W.) Virginia through 1816, and her parents moved on to Wood Co., (W.) Virginia, by 1817.

Anna MARRIED #1) Abraham Pribble at her father's home at Beach Point, Wood Co., (W.) Virginia, November 22, 1823 >> One infant daughter, Emma (Pribble) (1824-1825).

After the death of her 1st husband in June 1825, Anna MARRIED #2) John Atwell Vaughan (1793-1839), also a widower, in Wood Co., (W.) Virginia, on January 06, 1828 >> four children.

After their marriage, they lived in Wood County, (W.) Virginia, and her second husband is listed on the 1830 Wood County, (W) VA, census.

Her 2nd husband died in Wood Co., (W.) Virginia, in summer 1839, and she remained his widow with young children. Her youngest daughter was born after the death of her second husband in November 1839.
