Bill was born in Longmont, CO to John William Wagner and Mary Dorothy Heberling Wagner on July 29, 1931 and was a lifetime resident of Longmont.
He married Imogene Sinkhorn on November 21, 1951, at the First Christian Church in Longmont.
Bill was the owner/operator and president of Wagner Welding Supply. He established Wagner Welding Supply in 1969 and retired in 1996. His son-in-law Gary Lee Peif, is the current president and acting manager of the firm. Bill was also a sergeant in the National Guard.
He belonged to the First Christian Church in Longmont, Moose Lodge No. 1548 of Longmont, and was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge No. 1055 also of Longmont.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Imogene, of Longmont; one daughter Sandra Kay Peif and her husband Gary Lee Peif of Longmont; one sister Mary JoAnne Kuster and her husband, Bruce, of Highlands Ranch; one grandson Drew Peif of Longmont; one niece Cindy Cherry of Denver; one grandniece, Miranda Cherry of Denver; and his best friend, his dog, Lady.
