Daughter of Floyd Burt and Vera Wilder. Wife of Zenon Pytlinski.Helen Pytlinski died on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the age of 91 after a long bout of cancer. She was born in Sylvania, but grew up in Hillsdale, MI and Kalida, OH.

Education was important to Helen. She got a BA in education, and attended law school. She taught at the orphanage and reading at Hillview Elementary School.

Helen worked as a clerk for a Federal Judge in the Toledo federal court. She was one of the first women to work in a federal courtroom in this area.

She also worked as a model for several local businesses. Helen was voted the Toledo Blade "Beauty of the Week", and she was the most photographed lady in the federal building.

She married Zenon Pytlinski in 1961 and had their daughter, Sandy, a few years later.

Helen worked for the Sylvania Court under three judges before joining the Sylvania Police department, where she worked for 24 years.

She was very creative and enjoyed oil painting, sewing, making resin objects, and of course cooking. She taught bread making as a hobby for 25 years, including a week in Vail, CO. Most of her classes were held at Gourmet Curiosities.

She also briefly did a cooking segment on the Paul W. Smith Show.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, husband, and son Bryan.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy Pytlinski; stepson Larry Pytlinski (Jane), lots of wonderful nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Thursday, February 18th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, where Funeral Services will be held Friday the 19th at 11:00 AM. Helen will be laid to rest at Whiteford Union Cemetery, Ottawa Lake.
