Betty Marie Gray Jackson, 80 of Orangeburg died Friday, February 5, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1935 in Orangeburg County, SC; the daughter of the late Jacob B. Gray and the late Marie Elizabeth Baltzegar Gray.

She was a member of Rivelon Baptist Church and a member of the Adult 2 Sunday School Class. She was a retired beautician. She was the widow of the late Charles W. Jackson.

Survivors include a son: Mark (Tamie) Jackson of Cordova; 1 daughter: Susan Marie Jackson of Orangeburg; 4 grandchildren: Cody, Carly, Rachael and Andrew; 3 great great grandchildren: Khloe, Darton and McKinley; 2 Brothers; Harry (Betty) Gray of Cope Community; Bill (Eudell) Gray of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Thompson Funeral home, Inc., 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg. The Casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Funeral Services will be held 3 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Rivelon Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev. Kevin Ard, Rev. Dr. Steve Brown and Rev. Larry Williams officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Pallbearers will be Timmy Boyleston, Bryant Gray, Buck Gray, Kenny Gray, Ronnie Gray, W. E. Gray, Jakie Fogle. Honorary Pallbearers are Adult 2 Sunday School Class.
