Harry C. George, 83, of 1149 N. Fifth St., died at 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 1981, at St. John's Hospital.
Born in Edinburg, Mr. George was the son of Harry [sic] and Nora Park George.
Before his retirement, he was employed at Sangamo Electric for 42 years.
Mr. George was a member of Ansar Shrine, Central Lodge No. 71 AF&AM and Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Harry C. Jr. of Keokuk, Iowa, and Larry of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Coy and Mrs. Bonnie Boggs, both of Springfield, and Mrs. Helen Gustavason of Keokuk, Iowa; one brother, Luther P. of Mesa, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Bisch Memorial Home.
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park.
