Eileen A. Otto, age 95, of rural Lester Prairie, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant.
There will be visitation prior to the Mass, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the church.
Eileen was born June 9, 1920, in Winsted Township, the daughter of Eugene and Angela (Fasching) Stifter.
She was joined in holy marriage with Henry A. Otto May 23, 1944, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with nine children.
Eileen and Henry engaged in dairy farming in Winsted Township on the Otto homestead for many years.
Eileen was a lifelong, faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and also belonged to Council of Catholic Women, Holy Family Council 204, and The St. Ann’s Society.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking, and being a volunteer at church.
Eileen is survived by children: Karen (David) Schoen, Lois (Richard) Nolan, Kenneth (Delores) Otto, Ronald (Darlene) Otto, Robert (Colleen) Otto, Laurence Otto, Richard (Sharon) Otto, and Susan (Jeff) Muenchow; a son-in-law, Bill Graham; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerard Stifter; sisters Sister Corina Stifter, OSF; Marie Gockowski, Teckla Ambrose, Lucy Klos, and Gladys Hintz; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; a daughter, Kathleen Graham; her parents; a sister, Gertrude Wellenstein; and by an infant brother, Eugene Stifter.
