She was a native of Perham, Minn. where she grew up and attended local schools. She graduated from the local high school and then moved to Linton, N.D. where she worked as a sales clerk in a general merchandise store. She married Alex Walther in June of 1920 in Linton and the family lived there until 1935 when they came to Lodi.
Mrs. Walther worked in local canneries and fruit packing sheds and also operated a custom drapery shop in her home which she continued until 1980. Mr. Walther died in 1975 and her son, Alan A. "Bud" Walther of Lodi died in May of 1980. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of American and had been the past oracle of that club.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Wudel and Wanda Walther, both of Lodi; a brother, Emil Beckman of Minnesota; two sisters, Minnie Heilman of Oregon and Elsie Flatau of Minnesota, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Interment in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery.
