Telegraphic communication from Los Angeles, reports the death there of Mrs Marian Adams Gudmundsen, a former resident of Parowan.
Mrs Gudmundsen was born in Parowan March 29th, 1876, daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Ann Davenport Adams, received her early education in the Public Schools and was graduated from the LDS College in Salt Lake City, later pursuing her studies in Washington D C obtaining a Degree as Bachelor of Arts.
In 1909 she married Ray Gudmundsen in the Salt Lake Temple. Three children were born to then, all of who survive her.
Mrs Gudmunsen was a devout Latter Day Saint and one of Utah's most highly educated and widely traveled women. Her school teaching career covered many years, as teacher of English in the LDS College at Salt Lake City, the BAC at Cedar City and the State Normal at Albion, Idaho.
At the age of eleven years Mrs Gudmunsen had charge of the telegraph office at Parowan. She spent one year traveling thru Europe and the British Isles.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Gudmunsen of Los Angeles, a daughter
