BETTY JEAN (Chester) CORNETT, age 81, of Blue Ridge, Georgia who passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Mrs. Cornett had worked at Weaver's Variety as a sales manager and was a member of Blue Ridge Church of Christ since 1965. Since 1970 she was active in the Blue Ridge Homemakers and a volunteer at Heritage Healthcare.
Betty married Wallace "Sock" Cornett on December 24, 1951.
Survivors include two brothers, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held @ 2:00p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 @ the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Blue Ridge, Georgia with Minister Lonnie Jones officiating.
