Mrs. Martha Davis, 64, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carrie Riddlley, 8 Cobb Street, City View at 10 0'clock last night. She was a native of Madison County, N.C., but had been living in Greenville for 20 years. She is survived by two daughters, three sons, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Thomas McAfee. _____________

Funeral services for Mrs Martha Davis, whose death occurred Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carrie Riddley, 8 Cobb Street, City View, will be held from Woodside Baptist Church this arfternoon at 4 0'clock. The Rev. W. H. Harbin will officiate, and interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Davis' death followed three weeks of illness. For about 20 years she had made her home in Greenville, but was born and reared in Madison County, North Carolina. She was 59 years of age and a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Riddley, Greenville; Mrs. E. D. Baldwin, Knoxville, Tenn.; three sons, A. B. Davis, Alvista, Va., L. C. Davis, Wellford; T. L. Davis, Lowell, N.C. in addition to 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She also leaves the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Mary Spivey, Asheville, N.C., Messrs. Dexter Rector, Asheville, N.C., and Jimmie Rector, Buncombe County, North Carolina.
Pending the hour of the service the body is at the residence. ________
