Graveside services for Bernice Bishop Tidwell, 87, of Wadley will be today at 11 a.m. at Union “Motley” Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. A.O. “Doc” Burdette officiating. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Tidwell died Saturday at Clay County Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Velma Ragon of Wadley; a son, Byron Tidwell of Wadley, a sister, Velma Coe of Lanett; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Kirk, Gregory Kirk, Donald Kirk, Mike Tidwell, Jason Watkins, Jimmy Bishop and Wille Kirby.

A native of Chambers County, Mrs. Tidwell lived most of her life in Clay County. She was employed with Clegg-Penrose as an inspector and was a member of Union “Motley” Baptist Church.
