Elmer G. Ramsey, of Louisville, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at his residence. A native of Wildie, KY, in Rockcastle County, he was born August 12, 1925. He was a retired bus driver from Greyhound Bus Lines, a former driver for Shockey Tours and a Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, the former Wanda Mae Walters; three sons, Cecil Ramsey and Tim and John Cowles; four daughters, Julie Masden, Gina Lucas, Karen Vessels and Theresa Birdsall; two brothers, William E. and Earl H. Ramsey; sister, Eva Perciful; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
