Wayne was a genuine friend who truly cared for people, and positively impacted many people's lives at the bank. He retired from the bank in 1987 to his joy of raising cattle. He loved being out on his farm with his cows.
Wayne spent his life caring for his family and others. He was a exceptional husband, father, grandfather, friends and other encourager, kindness, and humility. Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Lois Merle Hukel.
He is survived by his children, son, Rick Honeycutt and wife Rick Honeycutt of Rochester Hills, Michigan and daughter Melody Wann and husband Jim Wann of Temple. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brad Honeycutt, Chris Honeycutt, Tiffany Moffett, Nicholas Wann, and 13 great grandchildren whom he loved. He will be missed by many, most of all his family. His loving wife Elizabeth loved and cared for him for 68 years until his final moments not leaving his side. Their marriage has been a beautiful inspiration to the whole family . Thanks and Praise to God for blessing our family with wonderful and cherished man, The family would like to especially thank the nursing staff of the William R Courtney Texas Veteran Home for their care and compassion as he prepared to go home.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am January 28 2016 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with private burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers ,memorials may be given in Mr. Honeycutt's name to the church or charity of your choice.
