Obituary, Iola Register ~ Tuesday, 14 November 1972

Randy L. Troxel, 15, Welda, Kansas, died Monday afternoon at the Allen County Hospital, Iola, Kansas. He had suffered a long illness with Cystic Fibrosis.

He was born Sep 8, 1957 in Iola, Kansas.

He had attended the schools in LaHarpe and Welda.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Troxel, of Welda, KS; two brothers, Glen with the U.S. Air Force in Germany, and Dean of the home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eunice Troxel, of Moran, KS; maternal grandparents, Don Strope, Lomita, CA, and Mrs. Merle Karmann, of Des Moines, IA; and a great-grandmother, Maude Burtch, of Chanute, KS.

A brother, Joey and a sister, Mary, preceded him in death.

Services will be held Thursday at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Sparks officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery, Iola, KS.
