The grip caused the death yesterday afternoon of D. W. Heard at his residence, 950 North Flores street. He had lived in San Antonio a number of years and until he retired was one of the most active land dealers to this section of the state.
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon from the family home and the body was laid to rest in the Alamo Maxonic cemetery.
Surviving him is his widow, two sons, S. M. Heard of San Marcos and J. D. Heard of Winfield, La., and a daughter, Mrs. E. J. Altgelt of this city.
