Gladys M. Ganshorn, 79, Beaver Crossing, died Sunday, March 21, 1993. She was born June 29, 1913 to Eli and Lydia (Beckler) Kennel near Goehner. She attended county school and graduated from Milford High School. She married Harry W. Ganshorn on Nov. 16, 1940, and the couple farmed northwest of Beaver Crossing all their married life. Mrs. Ganshorn was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She played the organ and piano at church for many years. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vilas Kennel, and a sister, Ethel Coral. Survivors include her husband, Harry; son and daughter-in-law, Gale and Carol Ganshorn; daughter Shirley Burns; brothers, Glen, Harry, and Herbert Kennel; sister, Alma Elwing; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, March 25 at the United Methodist Church in Beaver Crossing with the Rev. Dan Teachout officiating. Burial was at Beaver Crossing Cemetery. Casket bearers were Roland, Duane, Terry, Larry and Harvey Barth and Lloyd Tesar.
