Clarence B. “Cotton” STOVER, 70, Rt. 1, Macy, died at 11:15 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born Aug. 21, 1921 in Orange County to Ellhannan P. and Myrtle HOPPER STOVER. On Nov. 20, 1941 at the home of the late Rev. C.S. GOLDEN, near Chili, he married Annabelle AGLE, who died July 5, 1988. He was a farmer. He retired in 1986 as a supervisor for the Miami County Highway Department. He was a member of the Deedsville United Methodist Church, the Gilead Masonic Lodge, the Gilead Eastern Star (past patron), the Macy Eastern Star (associate patron), and the Miami County 4-H Fairgounds governing board.

Surviving are a son, Larry D. [STOVER], Silver Lake; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary MOLENCUPP, Denver, and Stella ROBBINS, Chili. Preceding in death was son, Kenneth B. [STOVER]; a granddaughter, Melissa Louise [STOVER]; and a brother, William John Paul [STOVER].

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Deedsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norris KING officiating. Burial will be in the Enterprise [Tombaugh] Cemetery, near Gilead.

Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. today at the McCain Funeral Home, Denver, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
