Bonnie Jo Claxton Hook, age 80 of Los Molinos California, passed away January 13, 2016 at home. Her aching body was soothed while sleeping.

Bonnie Jo was born March 6, 1935 in Picher Oklahoma to Wayne Anthony Claxton and Hazel Garland Claxton. She was a happy child, flashing dimples in a beautiful smile. Her family came to California in 1942. She attended school in San Fernando California.

In 1953, Bonnie married James "Jim" P. Hook and They had two sons, Jimbo and Wayne. later divorcing.

About 1972, the Claxton's moved to Northern California, followed in 1976, by Bonnie and her still at home family members. On Apr 12, 1976, Bonnie and Raymond Baker Droll were married in Tehama, California and were married many years before divorcing. Ray died Jan 6, 2004.

Around 1980 something, the now retired Rushtons made the journey to Northern California to live near the Claxons and Bonnie.

Bonnie was owner of Bonnie Jo Droll's Mid-Way Fish-n-Chips on Walnut St. in Red Bluff California and later worked at Montgomery Wards and Macy's Department Store.

Bonnie's hobbies included: Playing piano, horseback riding, bowling, baking, crocheting, painting, and pinochle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Hazel Claxton, and was followed in death by her son, James Phillip (Jimbo) Hook, Jr., who had been in ill health for sometime, in only 1 month and 10 days.

Bonnie and Jimbo are survived by son, and brother, Wayne Hook, Houston Texas.

Also surviving Bonnie, is three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister, Mary Claxton Rushton, Red Bluff California.
