She was born on August 21, 1922 in Sumner County, Kansas to J. Earl and Jennie P. Ewbank Benjamin, both of whom preceded her in death. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Anderson College and her Masters Degree from Ball State University. She had lived in Fountain City since 1961, when she began teaching at Fountain City School. She retired from teaching at Randolph Southern Schools in 1987. She was a faithful member of the Fountain City Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. Wine will be missed by her daughters, Julia Pierce and Jacklyn (Bill) Ryan; son, James Wood; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
