Mrs. Donohoe, widow of the late Frank McLeod Munn, passed away March 5, 2003 at Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. The daughter of the late Robert Crawford and Bertha McLendon Andrews was born November 17, 1916 in Timmonsville where she happily lived most of her life. A graduate of Limestone College, her life's work included teaching music in a one room schoolhouse in Georgia, working in the Timmonsville Post Office during World War II, and teaching high school Chemistry for many years. As the beloved wife of her first husband, the late James Edward Donohoe from Camden, Ohio, she helped run the family business, Donohoe Lumber Company, for more than thirty years. Later in life she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Masters Degree in high school guidance counseling. She was a trusted friend and advisor, especially to members of her family.

Mrs. Donohoe had a magnificent passion for life. She was always willing to protect both people and animals from even the smallest harm. She was a member of Timmonsville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She served on the Florence County Library Board for many years, and was a member of the Book and Garden Club and Bridge Clubs.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Laura Hamilton and Associates, Dr. James McHone, Dr. John Rice (Duke University Medical Center), and the staff of Providence Hospital for their excellent care, kindness and concern.

Surviving are her daughter, Dr. Dorinda Dene Donohoe of Columbia, her son James Thomas Donohoe and his wife Judith of Timmonsville, her granddaughters, Katie Lewandoski (Russ), Kerry Donohoe, and Lindsey Dene Gertz; her great grandson, Jackson Thomas Lewandoski, and her favorite dog, Rhett. She is also survived by her sister Roberta A. Henderson (Andrew) of Tampa, Florida, and her brother James Harold Andrews of Lamar.
