Funeral services for Jerry Burgess Pike, 81, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, IN, with a private burial to follow. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday and after 9 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. He passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School in Kentucky. He returned to Jeffersonville where he was employed by Jeff Boat and retired with forty-three years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Burgess Pike and Anna Lee Pike.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sue Gail; four children, Jerry Kent Pike, Susie Cairns and husband Richard, Lori Nickles, and Jennifer Didat and husband Mark; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Waddell.
