Spann Deloach Lane, 93, a retired farmer and sawmill operator, died Sunday in the Bamberg County Hospital, after a short illness.
Born in Bamberg County, he was a son of the late John Wesley and June Gunnells Lane.
Surviving are his widow, Laura Gibson Lane of Ehrhardt; a daughter, Mrs. Rittie Lee Williamson of Cope; four sons, Lewis H. Lane of Augusta, Ga.; the Rev. John M. Lane of Orangeburg; Clyde P. Lane of Sylvania, Ga., and Reuben E. Lane, of Pittsburg, Pa.; 15 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Services will be 3 pm today in Pleasantville* Methodist church. Cooner Funeral Home of Bamberg is in charge.
