Mr. Clyde Aubrey “Pat” Patterson, 89, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016.

He was born September 18, 1926 in Holly Pond, Alabama, the son of the late Mr. Clarence Patterson and the late Mrs. Ressie Mae Segers Patterson. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Mr. Patterson was a cabinet maker and of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Orene Patterson Bynum; and two brothers, Clemon “Josh” Patterson and John “Jabo” Zachariah Patterson.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Dianne Chafin Patterson of Lithia Springs; sons, Raymond Aubrey Patterson of Ellenwood and Arlin Eugene Patterson of Locust Grove; daughters, Barbara Herrin of McDonough and Susan Shaver of Monticello; stepchildren, David William Kennedy of Woodstock, Patricia Dianne Fosse of Chattanooga, TN, and Pamela Lynn Jordan of Waco; two sisters, Lucille Patterson West of Cullman, AL and Ovia Patterson Coffman of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; three brothers, Pasco “Pete” Patterson of Holly Pond, AL, Troy Patterson of Cullman, AL, and Roy Patterson of Hansville, AL; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home & Crematory of Douglasville, Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory in Douglasville with Rev. James E. Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Herrin, James Patterson, Jared Patterson, David Kennedy, Tim Jordan and Scott Fosse. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
