Dewane E. Chamberlin, 55, of Eureka, died as a result of burns received when his home burned Saturday afternoon.

Chamberlin had lived in Eureka for about three years, coming from Bend, Oregon. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He was born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, February 13, 1905 [1900].

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Chamberlin; sons, Lyle and Lowell of Eureka; daughters, Mrs. Grace Swanson, Eureka; Mrs. Avis Karlson, Eureka; Mrs. Gladys Daly, Bend, Oregon; brothers, Franklin Chamberlin, Eureka; Mark Chamberlin, Silverlain, Minnesota; sisters, Mrs. Edith Boyer, Minnesota, Mrs. Verna Krause, Minnesota, Mrs. Ethel Meskiman, Raymond, Washington; Mrs. Lucy Crowell, Monroe, Washington; Mrs. Lucy Crowell, Monroe, Washington; and six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Pierce Mortuary. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
