Mrs. Ball is survived by six children and stepchildren: Gary Moore (Renee) of Woolmarket, Rev. Rick Moore (Kathy) of Kiln, Cathy Moore Johnson (Kent) of Saucier, Rev. Michael Moore (Margaret) of Morris Chapel, TN, Donald Ball (Peggy) of Woolmarket and Cynthia Lee Santos of Ocean Springs; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and dear friends.
Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Yancey and Hermie Senora Moffett Yancey; siblings, Jasper Yancey, Ruth Wilbanks, Frances Hopper, Mark Yancey, Buford Yancey, Herman Yancey, Mildred Boyett and Charlie Yancey; and late husbands, Rev. Herman Russell Moore and Colonel Clarence Clifford Ball.
A true nurturer, Mrs. Ball dedicated herself as wife of Southern Baptist minister Rev. Herman Moore from 1948 until his death in 1977, as custodian, cook, gardener, elderly caregiver and wife to Retired Colonel Cliff Ball from 1992 until his death in 2010. Affectionately known as "Nan" to her family, Mrs. Ball was in her element when working with her hands, including sewing, crafts, gardening, cooking and entertaining friends and family, but most aspired to be a godly Christian wife, mother and friend.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with an 11:00 a.m. service at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Coalville Cemetery in Woolmarket. Pallbearers will be Gary Moore, Rick Moore, Mike Moore, Kent Johnson, Jerry Cook, and Glen Graham.
