Cecil Toland, 61, of Ninevah, R.D. 1, died after an illness of several months at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 1953, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.

A son of the late Daniel and Goldie Harris Toland, he was born October 24, 1907 in Marshall County, W. Va. He spent his early life in West Virginia but had resided in the Sycamore and Ninevah areas for some 40 years. He was a farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Jane Rutan Toland, whom he married May 4, 1940; two daughters, Miss Nellie Hazel Toland, of Sycamore, and Miss Goldie Toland, at home; four sons, Alvin, of Rogersville, and Jesse Leroy, Edward Eugene and Hestle Arthur, all at home; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Miller, of Ninevah R.D. 1, and Mrs. Irene Tharp and Mrs. Virginia Thompson, both of Sycamore, R.D. 1, and four brothers, Ralph and Thomas, both of Sycamore, R.D. 1, and Samuel and Kenneth, both of Prosperity, R.D. 1.
