Teresa “Teri” Roxanne Weeks nee Stockwell, died on Dec. 17 at the University of Miami Hospital in Miami, Florida. She was 63.
Teri is survived by her husband, Quintin C. Weeks of Cudjoe Key, Florida; her sister, Debra “Debi” Alleman (Joe) of Belleville, Illinois; her two nieces, Jessica Raynes (Scott) of Caseyville, Illinois and Sarah Alleman of Fairview Heights, Illinois; two great nephews, Ethan and Alec Raynes, and one great niece, Ava Raynes. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Stockwell nee Barroso of Key West, Florida.
Teri was born on Jan. 30, 1952 in Tampa, Florida to George and Anna Stockwell. She graduated from Key West High School in 1971. She was married to Quintin Weeks for 28 years and they resided in Cudjoe Key with their loving dogs Bubbles and Blossom.
Teri held several positions with Monroe County including Animal Control, Public Library, Mail Delivery, Facilities Maintenance and Airport Manager’s Assistant. She was later employed by CVS and Winn-Dixie in Big Pine Key.
She loved her dogs and considered them part of the family. She also loved dolphins and collected dolphin figurines. She was a sweet, loving and generous person and all who knew her loved her. She will be missed by many.
A family visitation is scheduled for Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. at Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, 418 Simonton St., Key West. A funeral mass will be held on Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea. Interment will follow the mass at the Key West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Teri’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, Dolphin Research Center of Grassy Key, or to an organization of your choice.
The family would like to thank Dr. Towne, registered nurses Paula and Sue of the Lower Keys Medical Center ICU and the University of Miami doctors and nurses for their efforts to save Teri. We would also like to thank everyone that showed love, compassion and support to Teri during her lifetime. The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
