Connie Ruth Colvin, 68, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

Funeral services will be at 10:30a.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery following the service.

Connie was born in Abilene on May 27, 1947.

She attended schools and lived her entire life here in Abilene.

Many know Connie as being the receptionist at Highland Church of Christ where she has been for 22 years.

She loved to garden and especially loved her pets.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Vada Robert Griffin and Katie Lee Rogers Griffin; two brothers, Joe David and Robert M. Griffin; and an aunt, Ruth Jones Rogers.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Colvin of Abilene; two sons, Damon Colvin of San Angelo and Jermaine Colvin of Austin; her daughter, Kelly Christine McLamore of Abilene; three grandchildren, Isaiah Colvin, Tajiona Jones, Kikione Jones; parents of the grandchildren, Linda Mendoza Jones and Michael Jones; several nieces and nephews of Ukiah, California; and Shirley and G.E. Gore, Jan and Charlie Harben, and Wanda and Curtis Cowen.
