Sallie Anderson Drake, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pinetops Baptist Church with the Rev. John Melancon officiating.
Sallie retired from nursing after 43 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, A.J. Drake Jr.; daughter, Zora Drake-Richman and husband, Jim Richman, of Raleigh; sons, Dr. Almond J. "Al" Drake III and wife, Lori, of Farmville, and Paul Drake and wife, Melissa, of Pinetops; sister, Virginia Harrell of Macclesfield; brothers, Earl W. Anderson of Beaver Creek, Ohio and George W. Anderson of Tarboro; and nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pinetops Baptist Church, P.O. Box 34, Pinetops, NC 27864 or to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
