Marjorie A. Petruzzi, age 82, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James V. Petruzzi, Jr., and her son "P.J." Petruzzi.
She is survived by her son; daughter; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sister-in-law.
One of the original members of Creative Housing, Inc. Board of Trustees, retired from the Board in November 2015, after being an active volunteer for close to 40 years. She first provided leadership with the parent organization at her son's school, becoming a regular member of the "Parent League," providing feedback to agency administrators on behalf of parents and students. As a person with a physical disability, she also was able to help with practical suggestions on the design of the Franklin County Residential Services, Inc., properties built in the 1980s. This led to her appointment to the Creative Housing Board in the early 1990s. In addition, as a member of the graduating class of 1950 from Linden-McKinley High School, she and many of her (female) classmates gathered monthly for lunch for 65 years. She was also a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church.
Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne.
