Larry Evert Akin resided in Mesquite, Texas for 49 years. Larry was a very kind, loving father who devoted his life to taking care of his greatest blessings, which were all of his children. He had a passion for cooking and would spend countless hours studying about history and electronics.
Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sue Mace. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and George Guerin; sons, Larry, Gary, Richard, Curtis and William Akin; daughters, Nia and Kristi Akin; cousin, Beverly Ann Phillips; grandchildren, Christi Westbrook, Kerri Carter, Kelly Hines, Larry and Christopher Akin, and Jessika Akin. Larry is also survived by Sue Perez, whom he affectionately referred to as one of his daughters, and eight great-grandchildren.
