"Mrs. Cordelia Shotwell, 87, a resident of Canaseraga, died at Bethesda Hospital at Hornell. The body was brought to Duryea's Undertaking Parlors at Nunda and funeral services conducted by the Rev. Harry McKeown of Barkertown, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vincent Tyler of Nunda; two brothers, Charles and Walter Shute of Nunda; one sister, Mrs. Celia Stuker of Nunda." (Mt. Morris Picket Line Post, 16 June 1933)
