Patti Ruth Ferrell Dodd of Palestine, Texas entered her eternal reward after several months of battling cancer.
She graduated from Kaufman High School and met and Married Sammy Dwaine Dodd of Terrell, Texas. She and her husband began formal training and Bible school education in 1955 in preparation for Christian ministry with the Assemblies of God. She served faithfully as a pastor's wife throughout North and South Texas and Oklahoma for more than fifty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Ferrell and Annie Belle Fowler Ferrell; a brother, Frank Ferrell, Jr. and a son David Dwaine Dodd.
She is survived by her husband, Dwaine Dodd; a daughter, Yvonne Ann Dodd; two granddaughters, Beverlee Ann Dodd and Alyssa Slyleann Dodd; a grandson, Benjamin Dwaine Dodd; two great grandchildren, Camille Gaines and Lilly Paige Dodd; three great grandsons, Logan, Kaine and Mace.
Memorial services for Pattie Ruth Dodd, 80, of Palestine will be at Christ Community Church with Pastors Charles McShan and Clint Bass officiating. A private family and relative graveside commital service will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery.
