Mrs. Johnson was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Cleve Allen and Ellen Loree Alford Allen.
She was member of Brown Swamp United Methodist Church and a retiree of the Horry County School District. While employed with the school district she was a bus driver and cafeteria worker at Conway High School. Mrs. Johnson was known as "Momma" and "Grandma" by many that extended well beyond just her family. She enjoyed racing, family vacations at Disney, relaxing at the beach, hanging out at the pier, and attending her granddaughter's lacrosse events. She was her family's biggest cheerleader and the strongest woman they knew.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2016 at Brown Swamp United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
