Two young Emberling/Emmerling Girls are buried side by side in the woods on a hill approx. 200 yards south of Henson Gap/Poe Road and approx. 800 yards east of the Emmerling Branch on Sequatchie County Lewis Chapel, TN Mountain. William A. & Sarah Emberling/Emmerling (parents) married 5/8/1859 and lived nearby at the time. These girls were born after the 1860 census (born 1860-1864) and died before the 1870 census. NOTE: They do not appear on the 1860 or the 1870 census. However, these two graves do appear on the land owner’s property deed.
