Dr. Dianne Barlar 1946-2016
Dr. Alice "Dianne" Barlar , 69, of Milton/Pensacola, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016.Born Alice Dianne LeSueur, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, to Robert S. LeSueur and Ola Jean LeSueur.Dianne graduated from Pensacola High School. She also held undergraduate Degrees from UWF College of Business, Doctorate Ed.D degree in Education Administration from Florida State University. Dianne was a Pensacola and Milton resident with tremendous ties to the University of West Florida were she proudly served for nearly 40 years as a teacher and administrator. Dianne was a loyal UWF Argonaut and her memorial service will have her favorite Chambered Nautilus theme with the UWF colors of blue and green for floral arrangements.Dianne was a role model and mentor to many university students and people in our community, especially women in business. Her academic and community awards are numerous and represent her love for, and excellence in, academic endeavors. Her leadership, determination, courage, intelligence, energy, and especially humor are a few of the many wonderful things about her. She was a loving mother, a leader, an educator, and a true inspiration that will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert S. LeSueur; two sisters, Elaine and Jeanie LeSueur; and her husbands, Roger Tuttle and Perry F. Barlar. Dianne is survived by her mother, Ola Jean LeSueur; brother, Stan LeSueur; sister, Laurie Morin;
Visitation with family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace). Graveside Services will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery (3351 Scenic Hwy., Pensacola). Lewis Funeral Home directing.
