"Harold J. Linden, 401 South Park avenue, well-known salesman for the Upjohn Drug company, died suddenly at his home at about 3 o'clock Saturday morning after a week's illness.
Mr. Linden was born in St Paul, Kansas, March 6, 1906, the son of Ella Linden and the late Joseph Linden. He was married to Miss Helen Gangel in Kansas City on March 9, 1933, and to them were born two children who survive. They are Dorothea, 9 years old, and Beverly Ann, 8. Mr. Linden, with his family, moved to Sedalia six years ago.
Surviving, besides his wife and children, are his mother, Mrs. Ella Linden of Pittsburg, Kan., his grand-mother, Mrs. Barbara Linden of St Paul, Kan.; three sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Schallo of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Adeline Pittman of Pittsburg, Kan., and Mrs. Barbara Baker of San Antonio; and three brothers, Edward Linden, a corporal in the United States Army, now assigned to the engineering corps in North Africa, and Francis and Joseph Linden of Pittsburg, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at the Sacred Heart church with the Rev. A. J. Brunswick officiating. Burial will be at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in St Mary Cemetery in Kansas City." The Sedalia Democrat (Sedalia, Missouri), January 24, 1943
