SHONGALOO, LA.

Services for Mr. Albert Clinton Morgan, 87, of Shongaloo, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday October 15 at the Old Shongaloo Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Paul Cassels, the Rev. Louis Coppage and the Rev. Harry Ross will officiate. Burial will be at Old Shongaloo Cemetery. Plans are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary in Haynesville, La.


Mr. Morgan, a lifelong resident of Shongaloo, died Thursday October 13, 1983, at a Homer, La. hospital after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and was retired from the Webster Parish Police Jury road crew. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of World War I.


He is survived by his wife, Nellie Rue Morgan of Shongaloo; one son, Clinton "Cowboy" Morgan of Shongaloo; three sisters, Eunice Mitchell of Shongaloo, Effie Hill of Homer, La. and Orie Baker of Springhill, La.; one brother, Ventrice Morgan of Shongaloo; three grandchildren, Bonnie Sue Hunter of Sibley, La. and Donnie Morgan of Shongaloo and Nancy Dickey of Shongaloo; seven great-grandsons.
