Bettye Colleen Wagoner (Carl) passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Wood Manor Nursing Home in Claremore. She was born on April 19, 1926 in Jenks, to Teddy William Carl and Emma Marie (Jordan) Carl.
Bettye graduated from school at Dustin High School. She later went to East Central University in Ada, and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Bettye taught at the Clyde Boyd Jr. High School in Sandsprings. She loved gardening, flowers and raising cattle.
Bettye is preceded in death by her husband; Joe Wagoner, her parents; Teddy and Emma Carl, and a brother; Billy Don Carl. She is survived by her children; Nancy Lawayne and Rod Stirman of Perry, Jimmy Neal Roberts and Gayson of Holdenville, Kathe and Rick Arthur of Holdenville, Jana and David Slatton of Tulsa, two stepsons; Roger and Darlene Wagoner of Claremore, and Larry Wagoner of Claremore, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, three step grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral Service for Bettye will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, with Pastor Allen Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at the Lamar Cemetery in Lamar.
