Tribute: Marie Alles was born in Ault to Adam and Minnie Bruntz. She was raised and attended school in Beebee Draw area, near La Salle. She married Ruben Alles on Dec. 6, 1934, at his parents' home in Greeley. The couple lived in Auburn and owned and operated a farm. Mr. Alles died Jan. 16, 1989. Mrs. Alles moved to the Life Care of Greeley in 1998.
Mrs. Alles loved her family. She enjoyed games, fishing, cinnamon rolls and Sunday dinners. She was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's Congregational Church in Greeley and a member of the Ladies Aide Society.
Mrs. Alles died Saturday at the Life Care Center of Greeley.
Survivors: Her 3 daughters and spouses, all of Greeley; son and wife of Greeley; sister, Martha Steinmetz of Greeley; brothers, Dave Bruntz and Edward Bruntz and wife Helen, all of La Salle; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Her husband; a daughter, Linda Alles; a son, Arthur Eugene Alles; two grandchildren, Patricia Schmidt and David Gunther; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Alles; a son-in-law, Gene Gunther; five sisters, Mary Bruntz, Effie Clary, Dolly Foss, Leah Walters and Hannah Kauffman; and two brothers, Adam Bruntz, Jr. and Sam Bruntz.
Services: A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th St., in Greeley. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Ave., in Greeley.
