A native of Spartanburg, she was the widow of Jennings Bryan Christopher and a daughter of the late Wilkes Booth May and Mary Jeannette Hill May. She was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church, the D.A.R., Huguenot Society, the Pinckney District Genealogical Society, the National Genealogical Society, and the S.C. Genealogical Society. She attended Stratford College in Danville, Va. and was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture-ASCS Office.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean C. Spaugh of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one son, William Glenn Christopher of Columbia; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carlisle United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Boyce Brooks. Burial will be in the Fishdam Cemetery.
