Charles M. DeBoer Sr., 79, of Edmond, OK, formerly of the Village, passed away on September 10, 2006 in Edmond. Charles was born April 6, 1927 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Chris and Dolores DeBoer. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member to the Covenant Presbyterian Church and Masons, and a retired independent sales representative. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Doris DeBoer and a son-in-law, David Bradshaw. He is survived by his son, Charles and wife Holly DeBoer; daughter, Rebecca Bradshaw; three grandchildren, Stacy and husband Rob, Heather, and Kirk; two great grandchildren, David and Greyson. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Bryant Nursing Center for their love and care. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice. Services are under the direction of the Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
